Cameo Wedding Invitation / Invitatie de Nunta cu Camee

 I had a little chat with Meda on her blog a while ago, in wich I was admiring her recent cameo projects. I also, told her that I have some projects on the same theme too, projects that had been promoted on this year edition of Bukowina Wedding Fair.
So, here is the first one :))

Acum ceva vreme am avut o conversatie cu Meda pe blogul ei, prilej cu care i-am admirat creatiile tematice cu camee. I-am povestit despre proiectele mele cu aceeasi tema, proiecte pe care le-am promovat in editia de anul acesta a Targului de Nunti Bucovina. Iata primul exemplu...:)

Gold Spoted Butterflies ... / Fluturasi "Patati" cu Aur...

 I found out that I like more and more some color combos that many others would consider too " heavy"... . For example this gold spoted butterflies wedding invitation : the arabesques, also gilded, are giving a nice touch of elegance. The interior background is also golden, the color recomended for printing is beeing dark purple.

For a given dimension, Iopted for these double butterflies in contrasting color as the rest of the invitation.In this case I opted for a box, but I think an envelope  will fit too.

Beach Themed Wedding Invitations II / Invitatii cu Tema Marina II

This is another version of a beach themed wedding invitations . These are the first ones. It took me long  time  enough making all the decorations ...but you know me : 100% handmade.

These invitations are some initial proposals that I've made for Alina, but Alexandra saw them and she just felt that they are perfectly matching her wedding theme. I have two more designs to show you so there will be more posts on this theme.These invitations have a very serene and clean style  which I happen to like very much.

Aceste invitatii sunt niste propuneri pe care le-am facut pentru Alina, dar Alexandra le-a vazut si a simtit ca se potrivesc perfect cu tema nuntii sale. mai am  sa va arat doua modele asa ca vor mai fi postari pe aceasta tema. Aceste invitatii au un stil senin si foarte curat, stil care se intampla sa-mi placa foarte mult.

Velvet Wedding Invitations - Venetian Style / Invitatii de Nunta din Catifea - Stil Venetian

I'm so in love with these invitations!

Too bad, because although they have been designed as initial proposals for a future bride, they will not transmit any happy announcement, at least just yet.

So, starting from the inspirational picture, I've posted bellow I designed these wedding invitations using a nice shade of burgundy velvet enriched with golden accents.

When the future bride to be ask me for some models made out of velvet ,  the color of burgundy mixed with golden accents, I immediately thought of sumptuous interiors of old time palaces, Like those two in the image bellow:  The Versailles and The Wilanow( Czech Republic). Even the Peles Castle has one apartment  in this two colors: The Red Apartment.

The Bride also wanted to keep up the venetian wedding theme, so I found very appropriate the association of these masks, wich were cut entirely by hand and overlayed with a splash of gold.

I made two proposals, the difference between the two of them consisting in the price range, the amount of work, materials and  time, that I've spend doing them, the working method and some other minor details.

I trully believe that these invitations are so... like me :)

Pacat ca , desi au fost concepute ca si propuneri pentru o viitoare mireasa, ele nu vor putea inca transmite fericitul anunt. Ma vad nevoita sa explic asta intr-un alt post.Deci, pornind de la  tabloul de inspiratie de mai sus, am creat aceste invitatii, Mi-a placut mult ideea combinarii auriului cu visiniu; m-a dus cu gandul imediat la interioarele somptuoase ale palatelor ( in imagine palatele Versailles si Wilanow- Republica Ceha).

S-a dorit totusi pastrarea unei teme venetiene asa ca am gasit potrivita asocierea acestor masti, care au fost decupate integral de mana si innobilate cu "stropi de aur"

Am facut doua propuneri, diferenta intre ele costituind-o pretul si metoda de lucru, cantitatea de material si timp, metoda de lucru precum si unele mici detalii.

Chiar cred ca aceste invitatii sunt atat de... ca mine :))))))))

One Flew Over... the Butterfly Nest / Zbor Deasupra Unui Cuib de ...Fluturi

Browsing through folders with images of the invitations that I've been making last year, I came across these: Alexandra's wedding invitations. She really wanted some invitationsthat should represent her, because she likes butterflies so much. I opted for these velvet butterflies in order to give dimension to the invitation appearance . The silver frame comes as an accent meant to give a precious and noble aura to these feminine invitations. The butterfly arrangement is made so as to suggest the flight ... And to go all the way with the idea of ​​"handmade" I opted for making these envelopes which were enriched with a silver rose.

Rasfoind prin folderele cu imagini ale invitatiilor pe care le-am facut anul trecut, am dat peste acestea: invitatiile Alexandrei. Ea si-a dorit foarte mult niste invitatii care sa o reprezinte, intrucat ii plac fluturii atat de mult. Am optat pentru acesti fluturi din catifea pentru a da dimensiune aspectului invitatiei. Rama argintie vine ca un accent menit sa dea o aura pretioasa si nobila acestei invitatii feminine. Aranjarea fluturilor este facuta astfel incat sa sugereze zborul...Si pentru a merge pana la capat cu ideea " handmade" am optat pentru confectionarea unor plicuri imbogatite cu un trandafir argintiu.

Alina & Florin Wedding Stationery / Papetaria de Nunta a Alinei si a lui Florin

Returning to the wedding accessories I have done for Alina and Florin.

I should mention that they were executed without any inspirational board;we put our (me and Alina, the bride) imagination in stake and ... the rest is a very surprising result. Together with the bride I tried to break a bit the conventional and so did the idea of tables with different color accents. The accessories have been adapted to support this idea. Although it seemed quite a bold idea, but also risky we ended to combine together very different colors like purple, fresh green, baby blue and baby pink, all joined by a pleasant shade of cream in order to soften the contrast a bit. We started from the idea of ​​a vintage wedding with all the accents: plenty of lace, pearls, shabby colors and we ended with the glowing of some very vibrant colors, youthful but still very romantic to sustain the bride's idea about such an event.

I also find very interesting the floral centerpieces, but it should not surprise me considering the bride's style.

Revin cu accesoriile de nunta pe care le-am facut pentru Alina si Florin. Trebuie sa mentionez ca acestea au fost executate fara nici un tablou de inspiratie;ne-am pus imaginatia la bataie si... restul e un rezultat surprinzator. Impreuna cu mireasa am incercat sa rupem un pic conventionalul si asa a aparut ideea unor mese cu accente diferite de culoare . Accesoriile au fost adaptate sa sustina aceasta idee. Desi mi s-a parut destul de indrazneata ideea, dar si riscanta am ajuns sa punem laolalta culori ca violet, verde crud, bleu si roz ,desigur unite de o nuanta placuta de crem pentru a "inmuia" contrastul putin. Am plecat de la ideea unei nunti vintage cu toate accentele: dantela din belsug, perle, culori mai "ponosite" si am ajuns la stralucirea unor culori vibrante, tineresti, dar totusi foarte romantice. Gasesc foarte interesante si aranjamentele florale, dar nu ar trebui sa ma uimeasca avand in vedere stilul miresei. ---------------------------- Foto credit : Jambor Photography Wedding Stationery: DivinFeminin

Theatrical... Invitation / Invitatie ...Teatrala

This is another version of the invitations I made for Justina. The colors were chosen to match the location as Andreea and her husband wanted.
I must say that I have no contribution regarding text; may be just the framing and small details, but the composition and font type are exclusive the bride's creations. The box was provided with a cople of small embossed tickets: one specifying the family name and the other one had the wish "You're dearly welcome" printed on it.
However I loved the idea of making "nominal" invitations.
The wedding theme was the theatre play; they also invited a mime to entertain the guests.



Aceasta este o alta versiune a invitatiei pe care am facut-o pentru Iustina. Culorile au fost alese sa se potriveasca cu locatia aleasa de Andreea si sotul ei.
Trebuie sa mentionez ca nu am nici o contributie in ceea ce priveste textul; poate doar incadrarea si micile detalii, dar compozitia si tipul fontului sunt exclusiv creatiile miresei. Cutia a fost prevazuta cu doua biletele embosate: unul care specifica numele familiei destinatare si celalalt cu mentiunea : "va asteptam cu drag !"
In orice caz, mi-a placut idee de a face invitatii nominale...
Tema nuntii a fost piesa de teatru, au avut chiar si un mim care sa distreze invitatii.

This invitation is a result of close collaboration with prospective grooms. They have given me these wonderful pictures. They also had a text designed to capture altogether some important aspects of their personality , emphasizing the complementarity between them.
Each invitation is provided with a note mentioning the addressee, note thatm had been embossed for a touch of elegance. For dearest people, the grooms also wanted some invitations in ivory boxes-a nice contrasting shade with the pleasant olive green color of these invitations.

Aceasta invitatie este rezultatul unei colaborari stranse cu viitorii miri. Ei mi-au furnizat aceste minunate poze. Au avut de asemeni si un text menit sa surprinda intru totul aspecte ale personalitatii lor, scotand in evidenta complementaritatea dintre ei.
Fiecare invitatie este prevazuta cu un biletel care mentioneaza destinatarul , biletel care a fost embosat si el pentru un plus de eleganta.
Pentru persoanele mai dragi, mirii si-au dorit cateva invitatii in cutii ivory pentru a contrasta placut cu nuanta de verde olive a invitatiilor.

This is a model that I got while I was playing with colors .... Based on the combination of yellow and brown, a nice warm combination, I added accents of color as these decorative butterflies or the flowers in rectangle from the box cover.








I think that looks sunny and happy, slightly flower power.
I'm visualizing an outdoor wedding , with colorful butterflies and freshly picked flowers from the garden, under a clear immaculate sky. I hear music, a rather unconventional sound for such an event, maybe a guitar ... And people are really very happy...




Acesta este un model la care am ajuns jucandu-ma cu culorile.... Plecand de la combinatia de galben si maro, o combinatie calda, am adaugat accente de culoare precum acesti fluturi sau florile din dreptunghiul decorativ de pe capacul cutiei.
Mi se pare ca are un aspect insorit si vesel, un pic flower power.
Vizualizez o nunta in aer liber, cu fluturi colorati si flori proaspat culese din gradina, sub un cer senin, imaculat. Aud o muzica neconventionala pentru un eveniment de gen, poate o chitara ... Iar oamenii sunt chiar fericiti.

" Navy Blue" Velvet Wedding Invitation / Invitatie de Nunta din Catifea " Navy Blue"

I can not stop from admiring this wedding invitation ...
It was a great challenge to create them, but by working closely with the bride, Bianca, we got our ideas all mixed up together and here is the result:





An elegant wedding invitation, distinguished, sophisticated but, yes, yet very simple! All wrapped in navy blue velvet.



The execution of each copy was a real pain: great attention to the adhesion of velvet, not to make creases, air bubbles, yet not to mention the box: a simple thing became so complicated!

A fost o mare provocare crearea ei, dar printr-o stransa colaborare cu mireasa, Bianca, am ajuns sa ne impletim ideile si iata rezultatul:

O invitatie eleganta, distinsa, sofisticata dar totusi simpla si da! invelita toata in catifea de culoare albastru navy.
A fost o durere executia fiecarui exemplar: multa atentie la adeziunea catifelei, sa nu faca cute, bule de aer,dar ce sa mai vorbesc de cutie: un lucru simplu a devenit atat de complicat!
M-a ajutat foarte mult si acest wedding inspiration board.
Printre altele: am o multime de lucru, burta imi creste, dar sunt fooooarte fericita!

I made eighteen copies of this elegant prom invitation. Why eighteen?
Well the answer is because this is the number of highscool teachers that had to be impressed by the teens they had guided for four years; the highschool years with all their emotions: the first startles of love, the boldness...



Am facut optsprezece exemplare ale aceste invitatii. De ce optsprezece? pentru ca atatia profesori a trebuit sa fie impresionati de cei pe care i-au calauzit timp de patru ani; patru ani dificili marcati de primele tresariri ale dragostei , de indrazneala...



The text contains some lyrics which were composed by the students.These lyrics are showing their gratitude towards the techers and their teachings.

Textul contine niste versuri compuse de elevi. Aceste versuri demonstreaza multumirea lor fata de dascali si invataturile lor.

The Glamour of Velvet... / Farmecul Catifelei...

I am absolutely thrilled with how came out this wedding invitation .... it is just a simple proof of the fact that "Handmade Work" can generate valuable and noble things. I wanted to obtain a glamorous, elegant and precious look, so I've decided to take advantage of the benefits of velvet at maximum. What could be more precious?



And because I wanted to strengthen these invitations sophisticated image I used black lace which adds depth
to this object.



I hope that will suit the tastes of a future bride,whose personality I' ve been trying to summarize in this beautiful invitation. The whole theme of the wedding will be forming around this wedding invitation, so yeah, I've just aimed to create an invitation with personality.



Although the box is simple, a small detail, like the velvet butterfly is meant to sweeten the whole look . The black rhinestone on the butterfly was added like a preamble to the surprise from the box.





And, to conclude, the photos above are showing that it is very important to me
discovering my new valences, which were beeing unknown to me or others so far.



Sunt absolut incantata de modul cum a iesit aceasta invitatie de nunta.... pur si simplu aceasta este o marturie a faptului ca lucratul de mana poate genera lucruri pretioase si nobile. Am urmarit sa obtin un aspect glamour , pretios si elegant, asa ca am hotarat sa ma folosesc la maxim de avantajele catifelei. Ce poate fi mai pretios?
Si pentru a intari imaginea sofisticata a aceste invitatii am folosit si dantel neagra care adauga profunzime acestui obiect.
Sper ca se va potrivi cu gusturile unei viitoare mirese, a carei personalitate am incercat sa o sintetizeze in aceasta frumoasa invitatie. Intreaga tema a nuntii se va forma in jurul acestei invitatii, deci,da, am vrut sa creez o invitatie cu personalitate.
Desi cutia este simpla, un mic detaliu , ca acest fluture o indulceste si o romanteaza . Strasul este adaugat pentru a fi un preambul al surprizei din cutie.
Iar, ca sa conchid, fotografiile de mai sus arata ca este foarte importanta pentru mine descoperirea unor noi valente, necunoscute mie sau altora pana acum.

Elegant Wedding Invitation with Monogram / Invitatie de Nunta Eleganta cu Monograma

Thinking about the dictum "Less is more" I've created this wedding invitation using the basic the operations in handmade wedding invitations design.
I like the contrast of stylish silver accents made ​​with the purple shade of cardboard .



The monogram is the first sign that a new family will born.



This is a proposal that I've made ​​ to future bride who is guiding by the dictum from above, but who also wanted a bold color in order to obtain an exclusive look of her wedding preview.



Gandindu-ma la dictonul "Less is more" am creat aceasta invitatie de nunta folosindu-ma de procedeele de baza ale design-ului de invitatii de nunta handmade.
Imi place contrastul elegant facut de accentele argintii cu nuanta de mov a cartonului. Monograma este primul indiciu ca o noua familie se va naste.

Aceasta este o propunere pe care am facut-o unei viitoare mirese care se ghideaza dupa dictonul de mai sus, dar care si-a dorit o culoare mai indrazneata pentru a obtine un aspect exclusivist al acestei avanpremieri a nuntii.

These are Iustina's wedding invitations:
She wanted a wedding with " Venetian Style " key accents, so I think it would be appropiate creating some wedding invitations which will be a preamble to the general idea of her wedding.


The venetian masks are beeing also handmadestarting from the very first step :
casting plaster into molds.



The boxes were designed for optimal protection of the invitation and for creating a strong first impression.





Acestea sunt invitatiile de nunta ale Iustinei:
Ea si-a dorit o nunta cu accente cheie in stilvenetian, prin urmare am considerat ca ar fi potrivit sa-i creez niste invitatii care sa fie un preambul la ideea generala a nuntii.
Mastile venetiene sunt deasemeni handmade primul pas fiind turnarea ipsosului in matrite.Cutiile au fost gandite pentru protectia optima a invitatiei si pentru a crea o prima impresie foarte puternica.
